Baptist Foundation of Alabama Scholarships
Scholarship Sponsored by Baptist Foundation of Alabama
The Baptist Foundation of Alabama is responsible for the administration of over 100 scholarship funds, designed to support students at various stages of their academic journey, including undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels. Students who fulfill the eligibility criteria for these funds can be considered for scholarship awards.
Understanding the Process:
To be considered for a scholarship from The Baptist Foundation of Alabama, applicants must satisfy the following conditions and prerequisites:
- The applicant must be a legitimate resident of Alabama.
- The applicant must be an active member of a Southern Baptist Church that is in cooperation with the Alabama Baptist State Convention. (For seminary applicants, membership in a Southern Baptist church in cooperation with the Southern Baptist Convention is required.)
- The applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student as per the school's current catalog. (Exceptions may be made under certain special circumstances.)
- The applicant must achieve and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0.
- Scholarships are awarded by The Baptist Foundation of Alabama on a yearly basis and are not renewable. Students are required to reapply each year to maintain eligibility.
Applicants are advised to scan all necessary documents electronically and submit them online as part of the application process. If scanning is not possible, documents can be mailed to The Foundation. However, electronic submission is highly recommended. The application will only be considered complete if all documents are attached and submitted by midnight, February 28. Incomplete online applications or additional attachments postmarked after February 28 will not be eligible for scholarship consideration.
Applicants are solely responsible for ensuring the completion of all requirements. Failure to inform The Foundation about a change in school after the application has been submitted may lead to the forfeiture of an awarded scholarship.
IMPORTANT: The primary mode of communication between The Foundation and the applicants will be via email. Applicants are therefore required to regularly check their email (including the spam folder) for updates, queries, acceptance or rejection of applications, and final award results. Neglecting to check email could result in the loss of a potential award.
